The Low Country Fire Conference, hosted by the Charleston Metro FOOLS is designed to bring dedicated men and women of the fire service together to perfect the craft through actionable training and experiences through lecturers and hands-on-training. The conference will be held in Summerville, SC with training sites throughout the Charleston area.
The 2025 Low Country Fire Conference is 3 days long with the first day (Friday) being lectures and the next two days (Saturday & Sunday) being Hands On Training (HOT). Participants will be able to choose between one 16 hour HOT class or two 8 hour HOT classes.

TFI: Iron Sharpens Iron: Force and Search (Saturday & Sunday)
Iron Sharpens Iron: Force and Search is designed for fighters with a base level of knowledge. This 16 hour class is a fast-paced environment with different scenarios and obstacles a firefighter may face on the fireground. TFI takes knowledge already present and adds real-world skills acquired from actual incidents. The information learned will then be tested in real-life scenario-based evolutions. Water Mapping: "How Water Wins When Water Flows" [Sold Out]
Lecture and hands-on training series closely examines the research from UL & FSRI, Firefighter Rescue Survey, USFA, and others to discuss the significance of initial fire attack. This in-depth look is designed to encourage aggressiveness with initial tank water. This series highlights the first two minutes on scene with an "Expect Fire, Expect Victims" mindset.
Paratech: Lifting and Stabilizing
Learn essential skills for heavy lifting, vehicle stabilization, and handling under-ride and over-ride scenarios. This hands-on course focuses on safely deploying Paratech struts and lifting systems, stabilizing vehicles, and managing complex rescue situations with confidence and precision. Perfect for all experience levels, this training is practical and life-saving.
CMF Hot: Can Confidence [Sold Out]
This hands-on class focuses on key search company operations, including forcible entry, searching ahead of the hose line, using a water can to hold or gain space, and efficient victim removal. Develop critical skills to perform effectively and confidently in high-stakes rescue scenarios.
